As well all know man is a social animal and cannot survive alone, when we go through depression we want to talk to people who bring us true happiness.

Throughout the movie, George is a kind hearted person who always puts others first. He assist his neighbors and save his brother, supports his family, and impacts his community in positive ways. Despite his good deeds, he can’t ignore but experience he’s missed out on his own dreams. It’s not until he faces a serious challenge that he begins to see things differently.

By the end of his extraordinary experience, George realizes that he has indeed been successful in a way he never expected. His success isn’t measured by miles traveled or fame gained, but by the strong bonds he’s formed with those around him.

During the last scenes of the movie, George’s guardian angel, Clarence, leaves him a book as a gift. It is the book “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” by Mark Twain. Inside the book, his guardian angel had written: “Dear George: Remember no man is a failure who has friends…”

When the town was panicked during the Depression George used his own money and powers of persuasion to keep the building and loan open and independent–and the town’s dreams alive. The town has a parade planned for Harry to recognize his accomplishments, but when they realize that George is in trouble they pray for him and bring in all of their spare cash to help cover the shortfall at the Building and Loan.
